What we guarantee

What's new in the API
Most traded — every few minutes
The items with the highest turnover on Steam are refreshed about every 5 minutes, with the best bid and order book depth.
Tracked — every 30 minutes
Your watchlist and the items traded on third-party marketplaces. GET /v1/tracked returns the current age of each price.
Rest of the catalog — ask price
Every CS2 item gets an ask price from the catalog crawl every few days. Each response shows the age of its price.
fetched_at is Steam's response time
The time in a response is the moment Steam returned the data, not the time of our processing or cache.
Sales over 24 hours and 7 days
The 24-hour volume and median come from Steam. The 7-day figures are an approximation from daily observations, with the number of days covered.
Anomaly flags with thresholds
Price spike and crash, order book depth collapse, wide spread, new item. The threshold of every flag is in the documentation.
A quote can be re-checked
A market snapshot has one snapshot_id. The same snapshot stays available by it for 7 days, with a SHA-256 checksum.
A stable /v1
/v1 only gains fields and endpoints. Breaking changes ship under a new prefix and are announced 90 days ahead. A live key never receives test data.
